i love surprises. little sudden acts that bring smiles. something that can take 2 seconds to prepare can mean more than words to me. like i say....its the little things.

ive decided that i am done with kansas. i want a new start. a new beginning. in the wizard of oz dorothy gets taken to a new place in a tornado. im ready for my tornado to come.

i've always thought it would be fun to be in a music video. however, never have thought about what type of video. then...One Republic came out with this little number and its like a light bulb flashed on in my head. i could watch this video all day. i need to be in this video. the clothing, the hair, the masks, the music, the set......i love it all. if anyone decides to throw a masquerade ball, let me know. im so there.

one little dream of mine is to have a huge white feathery pillow fight in the middle of the street. why not?

this moment is true, was true, and always will be true. this took my breathe away in a different way. but God is good. and now i am inked as a reminder.

i dont perhaps actually want to be 25 again....however this nail color is my favorite at the moment. dont let the name fool you. even at 28, im enjoying it.

my 'get-a-way'

a little dream of mine has always been to ride in a hot air balloon. sometimes i wish i could close my eyes and escape. go where no one can find me. have a little 'get-a-way' to clear my head and see God's beauty. perhaps one day, this little dream of mine will come true....

some songs get overplayed. some songs are classic. but sometimes a song comes along that gets played, and the more it plays, the more i like and understand it. there are certain moments in this particular song that are my favorite. i may not love each song this group has created. but theres just a little 'something' about this specific one.

one isle....endless possibilities.

one of the best feelings i get is when i open my mailbox and find a card with my name on it. my personal fav happens to be the hallmark "fresh ink" collection. who knew one isle could fill people with smiles, giggles, tears, sympathy, laughter, sadness (to miss someone), congratulations, thankful etc. my favorite type....the "just because" cards. to me a card is a personal gesture. sure anyone can email, text, or call. but when someone picks out a card designed especially for someone, writes a little note, seals with a stamp and puts it in the mail, it means so much more. they are a cheap and easy way to let someone know your thoughts at that time and moment. try it. i dare you. its addicting.

my nose was smiling...

this is a slightly new favorite of mine. ive worn the same happy clinique perfume for years and years but a while back, i stumbled upon this. michael kors. a scent that is like no other (in my mind). its fresh, light, yet sophisticated. the more i wear it, the more i like it. i believe that means its a keeper for sure.

cute, funny, witty, etc.

this became a favorite of mine a few years ago. its a simple movie that can be found on tv fairly often. no matter how many times i see it, it always entertains me. its also the only movie to ever make me giggle and grin every single time i watch it. in need of a relaxing, sunday afternoon venture? give this flick a try!

peonies of you please

fluffy clouds. soft sheets, romantic. all words i use when i descibe this favorite of mine. sure roses, daisies, even lilies are pretty. but to me, a peony is unlike any other. its unique. weather open or closed, its pillow-like petals will always put a smile on my face making this a forever favorite.

i found the secret

'victoria' may have a lot of 'secrets' up her sleeve, but i found my favorite 'secret' a few years ago. as i helped a friend on her wedding day i noticed how good her hair smelt. she showed me what she had used which was victoria's secret So Sexy shampoo and conditioner. ever since then, it has been a favorite of mine. though i dont use it everyday, once in a while i whip it out and wonder if anyone notices. and like i noticed my friends hair, quite a few have. in fact everytime i would use it, a "certain someone" could always tell. my advice...just be careful. we dont want victoria to know we found her secret. shhhhhhhh

this little favorite of mine is something i can't resist. ever go to chick-fil-a? who cares if they have great chicken and waffle fries when you could savor one of these. the only bad part is they are only offered for a limited time; ususally around christmas. better hurry.....

being 'tickled' always makes me smile

your stranded on a deserted island and you are allowed to bring one cosmetic item with you.....what do you choose? for me...its Neutrogena lip gloss titled 'Tickled'. years ago while browsing a magazine there was an article of an actress i was reading about. normally i dont notice things like the specific makeup the person is wearing but for some reason, this lip gloss stuck out. its been in my purse ever since. there isnt a day that goes by that i dont use it at least once. if your looking for a fun new lip gloss, i recommend being 'tickled.'

meet the newest part of me. after 2 trips, its finally perfect. its little, pink, feminine, and a small statement with such large meaning. i've always been grateful for my mom. but, this specific memory left quite the mark. though a bit painful to endure...i must say, mrs becky blake is worth it.

some people may think this is just a cutting board shaped like a whale. which it is. but not me. this was a christmas gift from my best friend since the 3rd grade. i loved this gift for so many reasons. if you know me at all, i dont have to explain what the whale shape means. she knows...i know...willy lives on. the way i look at it, who wouldnt want a whale shapped cutting board?

ever purchase something you're not quite sure you'd actually use? i did. my lap desk was an after college buy when there was no need for a desk. i must admit, i use it just about everyday. its portable, light, and useful for so much. computer-ing, crafting, letter writing, anything you'd like. a cheap/useful favorite of mine.

This past year I discovered this little gem. It is one of my new favorites and am in great anticipation for my next bar. Let me tickle your tastebuds with this.....chocolate + hazelnuts = IKEA bliss! If they would only build an IKEA closer.
